About Travis Pearman
Musician • Songwriter • Visionary Artist
Travis Pearman is a prolific American songwriter, performer, and producer known for his genre-bending work as the frontman of NativeStone, HardWood Cherry, and Mother Kelly, as well as for his ambitious solo output. Based in Kansas, Pearman is redefining what it means to be an independent artist by preparing to release an unprecedented number of albums in a single year with no compilations or repeats.
A Life in Music
Born in 1980 in Beaver, Oklahoma, Pearman's musical journey began early. His family lived in Liberal, Kansas before settling in Arkansas City, where Travis was raised. His father, Frank Pearman, was a musician, and Travis was raised in the vibrant pulse of honky-tonk jams and Midwestern musical traditions.
After stints living and working across Kansas and Oklahoma, Travis and his wife Jennifer Wade relocated to Los Angeles, where they spent over a decade. There, Pearman attended Santa Monica College, worked in tech by day, and played clubs by night, developing a sound and catalog that would later become the foundation of his career.
In 2015, Travis and Jennifer welcomed their daughter, Presley, and by 2017, they returned to Kansas to be closer to family—bringing with them years of creative material, energy, and a renewed focus on music.
Projects & Bands
Upon returning, Pearman launched three major music projects:
🪕 NativeStone
A seven-piece country band formed with his father Frank, NativeStone blends roots, outlaw country, and Americana. Their debut self-titled album, NativeStone, was released October 18, 2024, showcasing timeless songwriting and storytelling.
🎸 HardWood Cherry
A funk-pop-rock powerhouse, HardWood Cherry is Pearman's boldest, grooviest creation. Drawing from '70s funk, modern pop, and alternative rock, the band released their debut album, HardWood Cherry, on August 2, 2024.
🤘 Mother Kelly
Pearman joined the hard rock band Mother Kelly as a frontman before taking the reins as bandleader following several lineup departures. He composed and produced the group’s debut album, Origins, released October 18, 2024, which combines grit, melody, and raw rock energy.
Solo Career
As a solo artist, Travis Pearman is a creative force unlike any other. By the end of 2024, he had written over 500 songs and began production on a never-before-attempted project: releasing 30 original full-length albums in the year 2025. These albums span a wide range of genres—from blues and country to synthwave, alternative rock, and acoustic ballads.
